How to send a lighter for repair (US only)

Zippo Windproof Pocket Lighter
- Remove the inside unit from the lighter and allow the fuel to evaporate for two or three days before sending.
- Package lighter securely in an oversized box or padded shipping bag (large packages are less likely to be lost or misplaced in transit.)
- Include your name, address, telephone number and email address on a note inside the package.
- Insure your package, send via a trackable method to:

Our Repair Clinic performs excellent repairs at no charge. Please do not attempt to perform repairs yourself, as it could damage the lighter beyond repair.
Do not affix materials to the lighter as they could damage the finish. Examples include:
- Address labels or tape
- Rubber bands
- Safety or straight pins
Please do not attempt to re-attach emblems yourself, as the surface of the lighter may be further damaged in an attempt to remove the glue.
Zippo will send you an acknowledgement of our receipt of your repair, if you include your email address.

- There is a $5.00 shipping and handling charge for the processing of repairs for MPL, MINI-MPL and OUL products

Zippo Windproof Pocket Lighter
Before mailing your lighter, please check your Zippo lighter for the following:
- Use only Zippo fluid and flints for optimal performance of your lighter.
- Be sure the wick is wound properly through the cotton packing and does not extend above the chimney.
Do not mail your Pocket Lighter to the address noted above.
If you are still experiencing difficulty with your lighter, please check your country’s Zippo distributor information before sending your Zippo lighter to the U.S.A. for repair. Click here to find your country’s distributor. If your country’s Zippo distributor doesn’t offer the official Zippo repair service, please follow the lighter shipping instructions above. |
